Virginia Beach National Golf Club was one of the earlier courses I golfed at after my son moved to Virginia. With the long drive way and the the huge club house you feel like you are at a private club, but it is a public course. My first time there we were the first to tee off (avoiding the Virginia Beach heat) and there was a lot of dew on the grounds. First time I saw the grounds crew use what looked like a paddle snowblower type of machine cleaning the dew of the greens. It worked like a charm. This is another course I don’t play often when there mainly because of location but we always say we are going to. The course was designed by Pete Dye knows for designing Whistling Straights in Wisconsin and TPC Sawgrass in Florida among others.
