Fish Camp 2024 took the guys to Tullymore Golf Resort.

For anyone unfamiliar with Fish Camp, this is the annual golf trip involving more than 30 guys.

Yes.

More than 30.

At that point, I’m not sure it’s a golf trip anymore. It’s a traveling golf convention.

Tullymore has two courses, Tullymore Golf Club and St. Ives Golf Club, and the guys played both during their stay.

The courses weren’t right outside their accommodations, so getting everyone to and from golf required a little coordination.

And coordinating transportation for more than 30 guys sounds like something I am very happy I wasn’t responsible for.

They made it work.

More importantly, they loved the golf.

The reports I got back were pretty simple. Both courses were phenomenal, the resort treated them well, the food and drinks were good, and everyone had a great time.

Exactly what you want from a golf weekend.

You’ll also notice something a little different in the pictures below.

On one of the tee boxes, there’s a concrete marker that says Tee It Forward.

Tee It Forward is an initiative that encourages golfers to choose tees based on how far they actually hit the ball rather than automatically heading to a particular color tee.

The idea is pretty simple.

Play from the tees that fit your game and golf tends to be more enjoyable.

I’m a fan of that philosophy.

Golf is already perfectly capable of making itself difficult without us volunteering to make it harder.

As for Fish Camp, it sounds like Tullymore was another successful choice.

Good golf.

Good food.

Good drinks.

And more than 30 friends getting together for their annual trip.

Of course they had fun.

No wives or girlfriends, nobody asking what time they’re going to be home, and several days where the biggest decision is probably which club to hit next.

I expect Guy to come home from Fish Camp happy and exhausted.

Tullymore accomplished both.
