In early fall 2023 we spent a weekend at The Loon Golf Resort in Gaylord, Michigan. We played the supposedly easier Loon Golf Course on Saturday and the Ridge Golf Course on Friday . On the Loon Course most of the tee boxes and greens were elevated. There was a par 5 with a very difficult (for me) dogleg. The back nine had wide open fairways and the start of Northern Michigan fall color. With the elevated tee boxes and greens this course did play havoc on my hips and back, but we kept pace of play and had a great time. We think there may have even been a wedding on one of the greens of the couple in front of us.
