We stayed at the Grand Traverse Resort in the Traverse City area in early October to get a couple of fall golf rounds in. We golfed the Spruce Run Course and the Wolverine Course. The weather mainly cooperated only raining when we were not on the course. The misty/foggy mornings has the tower looking ghostly in some pictures. Appropriate for October.
Spruce Run Golf Course was designed by former University of Michigan golf Coach, William Newcomb. The course features rolling hills, water hazards, and tree-lined fairways, offering golfers of all skill levels a challenging and enjoyable experience.
Grand Traverse Resort and Spa is a full service resort. They offer a variety of other recreational activities, including tennis, spa services, hiking, biking, water sports, and more. The Northern Michigan resort is also conveniently located near several popular tourist attractions, such as Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore, Traverse City, and the wineries of the Old Mission Peninsula.
