Missaukee Golf Club is an 18-hole public facility, is located at the southeast corner of M-55 and M-66, between Lake City and McBain. Established in 1970 the course spans 6,045 yards from the back tees and 4,905 yards from the forward tees, offering a “user-friendly” experience (I broke 100!). The course has a gently rolling terrain, a mix of hardwoods, five ponds, and a small creek that made for a true Northern Michigan round. The staff was very friendly, nice pro shop and snack bar area.
We played a round in the middle of July and had a blast. There were 4 of us, 2 of my sons and Arianna who is not only one of the owners of Golf Up North, but my daughter in law as well. Watch for more about that round in an upcoming issue of our newsletter. The staff was very friendly, the club house was well stocked and clean. They serve Ebel brats and we were told to call ahead from the 8th hole to have our brats ready, which worked out great. Make sure to try the Jalapeno brat it was awesome!!
