Interlochen Golf Course Photos
Interlochen Golf Course is another one of those courses that has been part of our family’s golf story for a long time.
Actually, it was part of my golf story before I even had a golf story.
Long before I started playing, I spent plenty of time at the Interlochen driving range watching Steve and the boys hit ball after ball.
And ball after ball.
I wasn’t golfing yet, so apparently my role was spectator.
Eventually, I decided watching everyone else have all the fun wasn’t enough and started playing myself after my first husband Steve died. Since then, I’ve played Interlochen more times than I could probably count.
One of our sons is now a member, which gives us even more reasons to get out there.
Not that we really needed one.
Interlochen is simply a course we enjoy playing.
We’ve been there for regular rounds, family golf, and outings over the years. It’s familiar enough that we know what to expect when we get to certain holes, although knowing what you’re supposed to do and actually doing it remain two very different things.
I’ve proven that many times.
Bradley’s Grill and Pub is another reason we enjoy Interlochen. We’ve eaten there plenty of times over the years, and the food and drinks are good without making your wallet regret that you decided to stay after the round.
Always a plus.
Interlochen also hosts quite a few golf outings, including some that are open to the public, so we’ve had plenty of opportunities to experience the course when it’s busy. It’s one of those places that always seems to have something going on.
And golf isn’t necessarily finished when winter arrives. Interlochen has offered activities like cross country skiing and snowshoeing when the golf clubs have been put away for the season.
Although personally, I still prefer the version where there’s a golf ball involved.
The pictures below aren’t from one particular round. They’re a collection from many years of playing Interlochen.
Some are from ordinary rounds. Some probably have a story attached to them that I’ve forgotten. Others are simply pictures I took because something looked particularly nice that day.
That’s what happens when you play the same course over and over.
You stop thinking of it as a course you’re visiting.
It just becomes one of your courses.
For our family, Interlochen is one of those places. ⛳

We wrote about playing in the Autumn Fest Golf Scramble in October 2022 at Interlochen Golf Course. We were able to golf Interlochen Golf Course a few times this year, twice in the fall.
